Swinford
Welcome to our project page for Swinford Energy Park, a proposed new 1GW energy storage project located within the existing Swinford Wind Farm.
Consultation on our proposals is open between 13 March – 11 April. Feedback at this stage will help us to refine our plans before we submit a planning application to Harborough District Council.
All of the consultation information will be available here on this webpage, as well as details of our public event and how you can share your views.
This map shows our proposed site boundary (red line) in relation to the existing wind farm. In selecting the site, we have ensured there is enough suitable land for development while also allowing most of the site to be used for landscaping and ecological enhancements.
Public Consultation
Feedback from the community, along with our ongoing environmental assessments and technical work, will help to inform our plans for Swinford Energy Park.
As part of our consultation, we are holding a public event for the local community, where members of the team will be available to answer questions and discuss the proposals in more detail. Please come along, chat to the team and let us know what you think.

To ensure we can take your feedback into account, please do share any comments with us by Friday 11 April 2025.
We will consider all feedback we receive will be used to finalise our plans before we submit a planning application to Harborough District Council in late spring. Harborough District Council will then conduct its own statutory consultation before determining the application.
