PUBLIC CONSULTATION
Have your say
Your feedback is invaluable and, where possible and appropriate, we will look to incorporate your comments into our evolving plans. This information will assist in informing the final proposal for our planning application, which will be submitted to Swale Borough Council in late spring.
Our consultation process ran from 3rd April to 18th April 2025. We published details about our proposals, including how you can provide feedback, at the start of the consultation.
We held an information event for the local community, where members of the team were available to answer questions and discuss the proposals in more detail.

Once we have reviewed all the feedback collected during our consultation process, we will finalise our plans and submit a full planning application to Swale Borough Council. As part of the application, we will submit a document that summarises the comments received from the local community.
Swale Borough Council will then conduct its own statutory consultation before determining the application.

April 2025
Consultation begins
Consultation on our proposals opened on 3rd April 2025, at which time all the project information was made available here. We also hosted a public event on 3rd April 2025 where the project team were on hand to answer your questions and receive your feedback.
We have submitted a ‘Screening Request’ to Swale Borough Council, to agree our proposed approach to assessing environmental effects and share the results of our early assessments. This will ensure we can identify and consider all potential significant effects on the surrounding environment.

April 2025
Consultation closes
The consultation period closed on 18th April, following which we are reviewing the feedback, refining our plans where possible and appropriate, and submitting a planning application to Swale Borough Council.

August 2025
Planning submission
A planning application for this scheme was formally submitted to Swale Borough Council on Friday, 15th August, and the full suite of planning documents will shortly be available for public, statutory consultee, and elected member review and comment.
We continue to welcome feedback on the proposal via the planning portal.
